With the challenges businesses and individuals face in 2020 traditional training methods has become more difficult to implement, adherence to COVID regulations and social distancing are just some of the challenges to overcome. With this in mind, our experts at Forensic Tools have adjusted our offering to benefit first responders in the private sector. Launching our training on an online platform allows for easy access and maximum convenience for the learner, the course can be completed at the individuals own pace. The first course to be made available will be the CRIME SCENE MANAGEMENT AND EVIDENCE HANDLING FOR FIRST RESPONDERS. This training was developed by experts with over 30 years’ experience in crime scene management and collection of physical evidence. The course is divided into three chapters that firstly covers the crime scene management protocol as developed for the first responders in the police environment, then explains evidence dynamics from the reporting of the incident until the processing by professional crime scene examiners, and lastly touches on the basics of looking for, identifying, marking and collecting of physical evidence. The course material consists of PowerPoint presentations with audio files, descriptive power point videos and a quiz as well as a mock scene video and an assignment at the end of each chapter.
